Shriners Children’s is a long-time participant in the historic Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. The themes of the floats tie into the theme of the parade, and also represent the life-changing care Shriners Children’s provides to our patients. Members of the Shriners fraternity and affiliated Masonic organizations, along with Shriners Children’s patients and employees, help decorate the float with flowers and other natural materials. Shriners and patients serve as float riders. Tune in on New Years Day, and take pride in Shriners Children’s as our float glides down Colorado Boulevard.

Volunteer Opportunities
It takes hundreds of dedicated volunteers to help decorate our float, and we would love to have you join us! All decorating takes place at a facility in Irwindale, California, in December. Dry decorating days are the first three Saturdays each December and floral decoration takes place every day from December 26-30. All skill levels, ages and abilities are welcome! From cutting petals to applying live flowers to the float, there’s a job for everyone.
